Position Overview
Socotra Tech Services is hiring a Junior AI/ML Engineer to join our Fund Dharma product team full-time. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy LLM-based features, build internal AI agents, and lead automation initiatives for our administrative and engineering processes. You will also play a key role in modernizing and reducing our existing Node.js and React codebase by leveraging LLMs and AI-driven code transformation tools.

Education Requirement: Minimum Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy production-grade Large Language Model (LLM) features within the Fund Dharma product.
- Build, integrate, and maintain internal AI agents that automate administrative workflows and operational processes.
- Lead initiatives to reduce, refactor, and modernize the existing Node.js and React codebase using LLM-assisted code generation and transformation.
- Develop, fine-tune, and evaluate LLM prompts, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows for production use.
- Implement end-to-end ML pipelines including data preparation, model selection, deployment, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical AI solutions.
- Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code; participate actively in code reviews.
- Monitor performance, accuracy, and cost-efficiency of deployed AI systems and iterate on improvements.
- Stay current with advancements in LLMs, agentic AI, and ML engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of LLM architectures, transformer models, and modern NLP techniques.
- Strong programming skills in Python; working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
- Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or direct integrations with OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar provider APIs.
- Experience designing and implementing AI agents, tool-use patterns, or multi-step LLM workflows.
- Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector) and RAG pipelines.
- Experience deploying ML/AI systems to cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, evaluation methodologies, and LLM safety/guardrails.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and software engineering fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Exposure to MLOps practices and tools for model monitoring and observability.
- Experience using AI coding assistants or LLM-based code transformation tools to refactor existing codebases.
- Background in fintech or fund/investment management domain.
- Published research, open-source contributions, or notable ML/AI projects.
